Samuel Goodchild is a Publisher at Springer Nature working within the Open Access journals group out of Heidelberg, Germany. Sam started his publishing career at Springer Nature in 2018, working on books and journals in Earth Science, having worked in a number of varied professions from engineering geology to teaching. He advises on, guides and develops a mix open access and hybrid journals in Life and Environmental Sciences. He has been involved with the STM association\u2019s Early Career Publishers Committee (ECPC) since 2021 and is currently sits on the STM Board as the ECPC representative. \u00a0Since 2019 he has been a co-chair of SN Women an employee network dedicated to gender DE&I.
