Shuai Yan<\/strong> is STM China Consultant since November 2021. In his role, Shuai will support STM\u2019s policy and advocacy work across China.<\/p>\n

Shuai worked in the Journal Publishing Department of Beijing Forestry University from 1985 to 2011, starting as an assistant editor and working up to the director of the Department.<\/p>\n

From 2011 to 2017 he worked with Tsinghua University Press as its director of Journal Publishing.<\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2020 Shuai worked with Springer Nature Greater China as director of academic relationships (including government relations).<\/p>\n

He had served as the president of the Society of China University Journals (CUJS), the vice president of China Periodicals Association (CPA), and the vice president of the China Editology Society for Scientific Periodicals (CESSP).<\/p>\n
