Liz is an Associate Director at Research Consulting Ltd with a focus on projects for academic publishers and research funders, especially in the life and medical sciences. She has over a decade of experience in academic publishing and scholarly communications and before joining Research Consulting in 2024, Liz held senior roles at F1000 and Taylor & Francis working on open research policy, research integrity, and partnership development. With Research Consulting, she recently co-led a study on the future of learned society publishing, and in 2025 she became a member of the Steering Committee for the United2Act initiative.<\/p>\n
Prior to her career in publishing, Liz led the Evaluation Team at Wellcome and is a recognised expert in research metrics and funding evaluation. She is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King\u2019s College London, a founding Board Director of ORCID, a former Crossref Board Director, an Advisor to the Software Sustainability Institute, and was recently appointed as a Trustee of the Microbiology Society.<\/p>\n
