Sarah Tegen, Ph.D., is Senior Vice President and Chief Publishing Officer, ACS Publications, at the American Chemical Society.<\/p>\n
She leads the development of ACS\u2019s pre-eminent portfolio of eighty hybrid and open-access journals, oversees the award-winning news magazine Chemical & Engineering News<\/em>, manages the development of the ACS books program, and heads strategic planning and relationship development in Asia.<\/p>\n Dr. Tegen began her career as an acquisitions editor at the National Academy of Sciences (US). She is an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley (PhD, Molecular and Cell Biology) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (BS, Biology). Dr. Tegen serves on STM\u2019s Research Integrity Governance Board, the Coalition for Responsible Sharing, the American Heart Association\u2019s Scientific Publishing Committee, and the American Society for Microbiology\u2019s Publishing Committee. She is co-chair of the Circles Board at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
