Herrmann joined Wiley in April 2017. Guido is responsible as Managing Director for Wiley\u2019s entities in Germany and is Wiley\u2019s Head of Global Industry, Partner and Academic Relations. Guido joined Wiley from Georg Thieme Verlag in Germany, where he served as managing director for 20 years. Prior to his current role Guido managed Wiley\u2019s journals in Health and Physical Sciences (2017-2021) and has lead the Wiley Partner Solutions team (2022-2023).<\/p>\n<p>Guido joined the Board of the International Association of Scientific, Technical &amp; Medical Publishers (STM) in October 2024 and has been Vice Chair, Chair-Elect since October 2025. Guido also serves as the chairman of the STM Copyright Enforcement Task Force (since 2014). Between 2007 and 2013 he was a member of the STM Strategy and Public Affairs Committee. Guido is a member of \u00a0the supervisory board of VG Wort, the German organization for reproduction rights and serves there as the chairman of the Kommission Wissenschaft (since 2011) and the Bewertungskommission (since 2024). He is a former member of the Supervisory Board of FIZ Karlsruhe, where he also chaired the Scientific Advisory Board for many years. From 2005 to 2024 he was a member of the Advisory Board of the TIB in Hannover.<\/p>\n<p>Guido frequently lectures at international conferences and has published first-author research papers. Guido graduated in chemical engineering and chemistry, earned a Ph.D. in bioorganic chemistry and was a postdoctoral fellow at ETH Zurich.
