Although not explicitly connected to the Genesis Mission, the Department of Energy has issued a request for information (RFI) on\u00a0Partnerships for Transformational Artificial Intelligence Models<\/a><\/u>. DOE plans (again, separate from the Genesis Mission) “to establish a public-private consortium to curate DOE scientific data across the National Laboratory complex for use in artificial intelligence (AI) models and to develop self-improving AI models for science and engineering using this data.” DOE asks about using DOE data \u201cpotentially in combination with data from other partners\u201d and \u201cwhat intellectual property rights, e.g., invention and data, for the Government, National Laboratories, and partners and developers would best promote AI dominance and enable, not hinder, innovation.\u201d STM is still reviewing a potential response.\u00a0Comments\u00a0are due by January 14.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
