As noted by a researcher in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aip.org\/fyi\/science-agencies-face-backlogs-following-record-long-shutdown\">AIP\u2019s FYI report<\/a>, \u2018It\u2019s not like we\u2019re done and back to normal, because grant reviews have not happened, new batches of funding have not been sent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>STM continues to work to\u00a0<strong>assess the prospects for restoring funding<\/strong>, particularly with the appropriations for the current year still uncertain.
