The American Science Acceleration Project\u00a0<\/a><\/i>(ASAP)<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) and Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) that aims to accelerate the progress of science and empower scientists to be more effective and efficient. It posits that “our nation needs to: make an equally ambitious investment in\u00a0data,\u00a0compute\u00a0and\u00a0AI\u00a0to build a superhighway for science; enable broader\u00a0collaboration; and streamline the deployment\u00a0process\u00a0by reducing unnecessary obstacles to innovation.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

STM is strongly aligned with the goals of ASAP. On June 30th<\/sup>\u00a02025, STM responded to the Senators’\u00a0call for information and feedback<\/a>.
