In 2024, STM designed and deployed a survey around publishing practices to assess representation within STM\u2019s committees, establishing industry benchmarks, and providing best practices for inclusive events and policies.<\/p>\n

As the leading voice of academic publishing STM has a responsibility to
\nensure it has a diverse membership and provides equal opportunities for
\nparticipation across its committees and Board. Understanding and benchmarking
\nthe current levels of diversity across these groups will enable STM to identify gaps
\nand areas for action.<\/p>\n

By sharing this survey with our community we hope other organisations will be able to repeat this process to improve inclusion and diversity in scholarly publishing.
